Invest Your Time and Talent
Join Us!
Looking to invest your TIME and TALENTS in meaningful ways? Volunteering at Another Way Pregnancy Center is an opportunity to minister to those facing difficult pregnancy decisions amongst relationship, economic, physical and spiritual struggles. All who work both behind the scenes as well as those with Direct Client Contact are vital to the ministry work provided at Another Way Pregnancy Center.
We laugh. Sometimes we cry. We are like a “family” - caring for one another while together, we care for others. It can be intense! And sometimes things are mundane. There is always work to do. Like fire fighters, we train, prepare and “wait” for the call.
Training for counselors and receptionist is offered a few times per year. The next training will take place in February 2012. ONLINE TRAINING will be available soon! If the Lord is nudging you to join us, please contact Aleta, at (248) 471-5858 for job descriptions and an application.
DIRECT CLIENT CONTACT - Receptionists and Lay Counselors requires 24 hours of classroom training, as well as personal reading. We ask for a commitment of 4 hours per week for one year, but are flexible for those volunteers who are also employed and raising a family.
You can start the reading program at any time, and start "shadowing" current volunteers, before your formal training officially begins.
NON-CLIENT CONTACT – Limited training required for some positions.
- Baby Boutique shop clerk: 2 hours per day, 1 day per week (need 4)
- Data entry: 3 hours per week, flexible (need 3)
- Material Goods workers - to clean, sort, help organize material donations. (A team of 3 - 4, 3 hours, 1 day per month.)
"Occasional" VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR – As needed: to call, schedule and correspond with occasional volunteers for mailings, special events, fund raisers.
Professional Abstinence Team
We are currently recruiting pro-life medial doctors, physician assistants, nurses, teachers and trained youth counselors willing to serve on a "Professional Abstinence Team" for educational programs in hospitals (to reach the community: teens, parents, school boards and School Advisory Committees for Health Education), student assemblies in large churches, and eventually, junior high and high schools. Presentation training will be provided. Presentation schedules are flexible and set well in advance.
While in the early formation process, volunteer applications are available. Applicants will be surveyed regarding availability for training later this fall. For more information please Contact Us via email, or call Karen at 248-471-5858.
Recycling Help: Someone to come to the Center every two weeks to pick up our recycling. Boxes and papers are biggest items.

We need people who will PRAY for us on a regular basis. Send us your email and we'll send you prayer requests and updates!
Church Liaisons...
Help us spread the word about AWPC at your church. Be our contact person when we have a news to distribute. Be a point person for your church members who are interested in supporting our cause.
Occasional...
We always have room on our team for people we can contact from time to time for special projects like mailings, shredding papers, cleaning projects, etc. We need a team we can call on - knowing that availably will vary. Can we call on you?
