The Cross Is 100% Pro-Life

 

The four pages not spoken at the banquet... Pastor Yuille had already delivered a similiar message.  Seems the Lord is pretty consistent in what He would have us say!

 

There is something I MUST share with you tonight because it IS a message that God has put on my heart.

 

It is a message for the church – the CHURCH being followers of Jesus Christ – who proclaim Him as Lord and as their Savior – and who profess to follow Christ and HIS teaching.

 

I’m NOT talking about buildings.

I’m not talking about any particular denomination tonight.

I am talking about BELIEVERS of the GOSPEL – 

  

And I understand that I am PROBABLY speaking to the wrong crowd because YOU ARE HERE tonight – and your presence is an indication of your FAITH and your CONVICTIONS.

 

But stay with me, if you will, for a nugget you might be able to take to those in your circles of influence who may not practice their Faith as you do - and who need to.

 

Here it is.

 

The Cross is Pro-LIFE.

It is NOT a symbol of death to those who believe –

 

It is a message of LOVE, and VICTORY and LIFE.

That Jesus Christ came down from heaven,

where He lived and lives for all eternity with His Eternal Father –

LEAVING it ALL BEHIND

To become “one like us”

Shows the ENORMOUS LOVE of God for HUMAN LIFE.

 

We were doomed for destruction, doomed to despair, torn up, broken up,

sick with all kinds of illnesses and corruption –

 

And JESUS came to SAVE us

from ourselves, from our sin –

from our separation from God.

 

Throughout His Word God shows us His Way –

RIGHT ORDER in our relationship with Him

In our human relationships -

parents to children

And children to parents.

 

God is a God of ORDER

Between elders and youngsters

And rulers and priests

And slaves and masters

Employers and employees

And husbands and wives…

 

He came to SAVE us – not PRESERVE us for Heaven –

But to SAVE us for today!

And to make us NEW with the HOLY SPIRIT of the LIVING GOD dwelling within us

So that we would HAVE LIFE

AND HOPE

And JOY

And PEACE

And a REAL REALTIONSHIP with a LIVING GOD TODAY- not just in the future – after we die.

 

TODAY.

 

Many of you know this – and if you don’t – talk to someone who does – soon!

 

Church – I’m speaking to you now –

Can you, can we, BE anything other than Pro-Life?

Did not Jesus come to SAVE all who would believe? All that He has made? 

If only they would receive Him in Faith?

 

Can you be Christian – a follower of Jesus Christ – and NOT BE PRO-Life?

 

Did Jesus come only to redeem “public life”?

Certainly Jesus redeemed many in public – the apostles, Zacchaeus, the leppers, the man carried in on a mat and lowered thru the roof… there were many.

 

But what about the woman “caught in adultery”.  That’s kinda private – isn’t it?  But did Jesus shy away?

  

What about the woman at the well.  The “Samaritan woman?” 

She was of a race and culture that Jews deemed unworthy to acknowledge, let alone SPEAK to –  yet Jesus approached her – all of who she was – her past, her present and her future!

 

There was no “privacy rights” to tip-toe around in this conversation!  There was no – “What happens in the bedroom stays in the bedroom” avoidance.

 

NO.  Jesus KNEW she needed redemption – just as we ALL do!

 

At the very core of our humanity is our sexuality, and sometimes, often, we get it WRONG.    Stuff happens – and we desperately need to be rescued and redeemed.

 

I recently read that 7 out of 10 marriages experience sexual infidelity

at some point in their marriage -

7 out of 10.

That includes us, church.

 

Yet some of our churches refuse to “get involved” in “this issue” because it is too “controversial”.  Some even use their tax exempt status as an excuse because this “pro-life thing” is too political.

 

It might offend someone.

 

And we, who have the Spirit of God Living in us are living in a dying world –

We who have the ANSWER to the hunger of the soul, that sometimes seeks love in all the WRONG PLACES

are often “intimidated” into silence -

Because of an artificial separation of Church and State that DOES NOT EXIST.

 

READ YOUR CONSTITUTION!

 

And STAND UP Church!

 

There is a BATTLE going on in our culture –

PRAISE GOD because it isn’t over yet –

But it COULD be!

 

We cannot sit on the sidelines and WAIT for the Second Coming of Christ –

He sends you and I into this lost and dying world

To be His Hands, His Feet, His Love –

To speak HIS Truth.

 

Because He dwells within us – and NOT in Temples build by human hands.

 

We NEED to LIVE and PRACTISE as thou HE IS – because HE IS alive in us – and we need to HONOR HIM with our lives.

 

The Work of Another Way Pregnancy Center is part of the work of Christ – and is work we are called to – Church!

 

His bright light of conviction burned in my soul as He spoke these words to me.

I too have become engaged in this culture of DEATH by allowing sin to be practiced by those I love.

 

It is NOT OK that some of my nieces and nephews are cohabitating.  It is NOT ok that I haven’t spoken to them – out of fear of offending my brothers and sisters – their parents – my sibs.

 

It is NOT ok when I attend an annual conference with my husband regarding his work.

We meet up with our annual conference friends – some of you know what I’m talking about – you see each other once a year – and pick up where you left off…

 

Only last year – their spouse – also a friend -  has been left behind – a divorce in the works.

 

And this year – our friend is sharing the hotel room with a companion.

IT’S NOT OK.

That’s not my words.  Not my opinion.  It’s God’s Word.

 

It’s not ok for me to sit and watch unmarried sex over and over again on my TV set – and NOT turn my face away.  I need to turn it off!

 

It’s not ok for me to know what I know and to close my ears and my eyes because I don’t want to hear more, don’t want to know more –

and close my mouth because I don’t want to “be confrontive”, “judgmental”,

or labeled “radical right-winged”!

 

Are you getting a little uncomfortable?

 

ME TOO!  This isn’t easy!

 

Abortion IS real.  It’s not just “out there” – it’s IN HERE – pointing to self.  

Unfortunately – the attitudes and thoughts that diminish human life, that degrade human sexuality, and leads to abortion - infect us all.

 

And for us to be His tools – for us to make a difference – in order for us to join Him in His redemptive work – we must first repent and acknowledge our own sin. 

 

And the “temples” known as abortion mills that offer up human sacrifice, those horrendous “temples” built by human hands – they are all around us.

 

Some residents of Germany after World War II were asked HOW they could LIVE with the knowledge that millions of lives were being exterminated in death camps all around them.

 

Some replied, “At first, the stench of burning human flesh was sickening – almost nauseating.  But over time, we grew accustomed to it, and we were no longer aware of it’s existence.  It was still there… but our lives went on as normal.”

 

That interview came to mind when I first saw this map.

These red tags are the known abortion mills in SE Michigan.

This does NOT include all the hospitals that perform abortions -

The blue tags are Planned Parenthood offices and so-called “clinics”. 

 

The DEATH CAMPS are all around us, and each day hundreds of human lives are sacrificed and wasted.  And with each life, part of the life of a woman dies.  She cannot be separated from the reality of the child within her womb that she -

 

Men are affected. Future children are affected. Our youth become infected. Our economy is affected. Our government, our courts, our public safety...

 

Our sense of Right and Wrong

Our vision

Our morality

Our churches

Our lives…

 

Our futures.

 

Wayne and I are expecting our first grandchild in February.

 

There is a plaque at the pregnancy center that reads:

“A Baby is God’s Opinion that the World Should Go On!” 

 

What world will this little one grow up in?

 

 

 

The Cross.

Our HOPE.

 

We ARE in this "battle" over human life because JESUS is pro-life!

He gave His all to rescue ME and you and you and the folks (our clients) in the video…

He came to rescue all those people we gather with on Saturday evening or Sunday morning

to worship the Lord -

He came to save us all.

 

The Church cannot be silent, passive, or minimally involved in “this issue”.

 

God is calling us to join Him –

Imagine the Power that is IN US when we JOIN HIM!
