January 22, 2010 marked the 37th Anniversary of Roe v. Wade when seven of the nine appointed Supreme Court Justices extended the “right to privacy” to include a woman’s decision to terminate her unborn baby’s life, claiming that this constitution right was written in the Ninth Amendment.
Isn’t it odd that those who defend this “privacy right” are often the same people clamoring today for government provided Health Care? Health Care that they insist includes abortion? How “private” will this health care be? Medical decisions once made between doctor and patient will now be scrutinized by the government in an effort to contain costs and prevent fraud. Personal health records in government hands stored in government files…
Do we really value our PRIVACY? Is PRIVACY even more valued than the inalienable[1] right to life on which our founders staked their lives and their fortunes in declaring independence from England’s oppressive ruler and government system?
How far we have come from since Roe v. Wade when abortion was sold as a remedy for poverty, child abuse, violence against women, and reproductive freedom. The cost?
49,551,703 lives lost in the abortion holocaust taking place in our own country – in every state. Human life being ripped from what was once the sanctuary of protection – a mother’s womb.
Your financial support of Another Way Pregnancy Center helps our small staff and volunteers provide real answers and assistance to those dealing with unintended pregnancies. Your prayers and sacrificial giving is making a difference in our community.
