St. Matthew Lutheran Church
Every 2nd Saturday, St. Matthew Lutheran Church focuses on a mission. On January 9th, Another Way Pregnancy Center was the mission focus.
Over 100 parishioners attended the event. Karen Jewell, Director of Another Way Pregnancy Center, talked about the history as well as the work at the pregnancy center, including the new "Men2Men Ministry". A music video was shown about a father's regret from abortion - a powerful reminder of how abortion rips apart the life of the child, as well as relationships and the very structure of our society - the family!
Work groups created gift bags loaded with baby items and items for mothers. The children made beautiful cards to welcome new babies to the world, and thanking mothers for choosing LIFE! A team prepared 400 baby bottles for the next "Baby Bottle Boomerangs", and some even helped fold and score brochures. Yet another team set out to collect bottles and cans from surrounding neighborhoods that had received fliers the previous week regarding the upcoming can & bottle drive.
Mary Walden, (a true Ambassador for Another Way Pregnancy Center and an advocate for the preborn), was the coordinator for this WONDERFUL, IMPACTFUL and CREATIVE event. Thank you to ALL THE PARTICIPANTS and group leaders from St. Matthew Lutheran Church. It really was a morning of CELEBRATING LIFE!
Thank you also to those who donated baby items and gifts for the gift bags, those who distributed the fliers for the can and bottle drive the previous week, and all those who took home baby bottles to collect change for life-changing change!
Another Way Pregnancy Center is blessed, encouraged and inspired by all your efforts, love, and generous support shown in so many ways!
THANK YOU ST. MATTHEWS!
